We believe local relationships create global impact. That’s why we prioritize collaboration with churches, nonprofits, community organizations, schools, and service providers across the globe.
TOGETHER, WE CAN SURROUND TEEN PARENTS WITH HOLISTIC CARE AND HELP THEM WALK TOWARD HOPE.
Whether you’re in Nairobi or Nashville, São Paulo or Seoul, your local partnerships are key to seeing young families thrive. Teen parents face real challenges such as educational barriers, healthcare gaps, food insecurity, and social stigma. YoungLives seeks to partner by sharing resources, referrals, training, and even space to not duplicate the good work already happening.
THESE CONNECTIONS:
- Expand awareness and access to support for young parents.
- Prevent burnout among volunteers by connecting families to existing services.
- Model the love of Christ through collaboration — not competition.
CHURCH COLLABORATIONS
THE CHURCH IN ACTION
From hosting clubs and offering prayer support to volunteering at camp and supporting leaders, churches can play a vital role in welcoming young parents into a community of faith and belonging.
One of the most fruitful collaborations has been through YoungLives camp childcare, where church members are introduced to the joy of serving teen parents and their children during a week at camp.
What's the benefit?
FOR CHURCHES:
- Builds a deeper community among congregants.
- Fosters empathy, purpose, and gospel-centered service.
- Bridges teen parents and their families to the local church, strengthening outreach and care for local families.
FOR YOUNG LIFE AREAS:
- Expands the volunteer, mentor, and donor base.
- Creates onramps for future church partnerships.
- Sparks momentum for new YoungLives ministries in neighboring communities.
FOR TEEN FAMILIES:
- Offers safe, nurturing care for their children.
- Models a multi-generational community of love and support.
- Reminds them they are not alone in their parenting journey.
